• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I'm not sure what I was expecting. I said on this forum 6 months ago that I thought Trump would win, and that is what happened. I know a lot of people irl who will be very happy, but I'm a little sad. I really do enjoy his bizarre rhetoric, there's never a boring day with him around… but to me at least it feels like every day he does things that genuinely make peoples lives significantly worse. I think I stopped expecting anything a while ago though. I already knew that no matter who is in charge there will never be real change during my lifetime, and the will to try for real change just isn't there.

It was interesting to see that (as of 1:46am eastern time) he seems on track to win the popular vote and possibly carry every swing state in a landslide victory. I was expecting him to win but not that drastically. Sad times, but oh well.

I'm sure @noname223 will be very upset when he wakes up lol

I woke up at 1 a.m. to check the results to See Trump is leading. I stood up at 5 a.m. because I wanted to witness this historic event live. I just watch Trump's speech. Lmao. Seems surreal. He even wins the fucking popular vote. Lol. I cope by humor. Ah shit here we go again. 4 or maybe more years of comedy gold.

With the exception of Obama's 2012 re-election, America has long tended to vote in favour of dramatic change every 4 years. Perhaps this reflects an underlying unhappiness with the status quo.

The new Trump administration may represent the most dramatic change in generations, however. No doubt, Trump's goal will be to consolidate power and reward loyalists. However, it remains to be seen if his threats of media censorship or violence against political rivals was empty rhetoric or will be established as the new normal. There are no promises of another democratic election in another 4 years, either.

The US will join other major world powers like China and Russia in having this type of leadership. There are benefits to this type of government, as it is empowered and unencumbered to enforce the leader's vision. However, if the leader is driven solely by narcissism, rather than a genuine care for the nation, the end result is usually a dark chapter in history.

I'm just in a state of disbelief at our country...
Like fool me once, okay fine, you wanted change... but fool me twice??
Nothing but choice words...
It's distressing and I'm deeply sickened; and that's hard to do to an unfeeling suicidal person.
I expected it to be a strangely tight race, but I did not expect a Red Menace to back the Agent Orange to this extreme smh...
It's indeed a sad day fo' the USA.
We've got to still be in October because this has to be the biggest trick ever pulled. Can't explain it otherwise.
I'm just stopped in my tracks, speechless, left sitting in the middle of the road in a poo-covered gown because something hit me💩

Hate and ignorance won today. I'm saddened, but not surprised.
