  • Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

has anyone ever been on or tried taking 5-htp? how was it and would you say it helped you?
ive bought myself 5-htp and are thinking of using it later on once my anti deps are done (if i still have depression by then which is high likely tbh as the meds dont seem to be doing much but to make me numb which makes my life more liveable and reduces the thought of suicide but i cant help but be sad within and unmotivated to do anything)

so im mainly asking if anyone ever was on 5htp how was it for you and did you like it? did it help you in any kind of way if so how was it!

(also unrelated what do you guys think of melatonin supplement?)

didnt take it, but heard the name a lot. it seems to be a very popular supplement in the drug community, not sure how it exactly helps. melatonin is the sleeping stuff no? that's supposed to help you sleep and fix your natural rhythm

I used to take St. John's Wort and 5HTP years ago. I'm sort of considering starting again. I felt like it did help a bit. Maybe that was psychological but, who cares? I was working in retail at the time and it was maybe one of the most unhappy periods in my life. So, it had a lot to battle- as it were! That said, do be aware of any side effects. I know St. John's Wort certainly has them.

I've just bought some 5HTP. I'm really struggling at the moment. So, I'm hoping it might help with motivation, low mood etc. Realised now that I shouldn't have been taking it alongside St John's Wort all those years ago. You're right- you're not supposed to take it alongside other ssri's or other things that affect serotonin.

yeah be careful please, if you end up on something like serotonin syndrome it's going to be super painful and horrible to go through.

I myself am are worried about my current anti deps dose too, 50mg of 2 separate anti depressants.
it's weird I got such high dose on only like my first time ever being on anti depressants
