I remember having the thoughts when I was 15. It was always Plan B. Then when my drinking was starting to get out of control. I sit there crying with the means to go through with it. I'd call a hotline but never admitted I had those thoughts. I just ended a relationship that I feel broke me. My ex still lives with me and I feel all of my failures crashing down around me. Part of me wants to go...I've got the plans laid out. What holds me back is realizing, I might be able to enjoy parts of life. Another concern is what comes after? I'd rather not come back.
I've started researching what happens after life, there is a study where subjects are technically dead for 18 minutes, then brought back. Regardless of their beliefs,
"Most common memories include a feeling of detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of an overwhelming light."

Here is another common experience of subjects:
"If they caused pain, they experience the same pain that other person felt, even if they didn't realize it at the time. They actually judge themselves. They suddenly realize why their actions were good or bad, and many claim to see the downstream consequences of their actions."

Has anyone read anything along these lines? I'd love to have the sources if possible.
