Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.
This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

It can spread like wilfire. This happened last December and they're only reporting on it now?
It can spread like wilfire.
Specially if they find out there is a link between all of these SN suicides.
It's not hard to figure out that it may not be coincidence.
It got the job done.So he drank some in his room then went out to a wooded area - that was very risky
I keep thinking of funkygibbon going out for a smoke, collapsing and being saved by his neighbour. It got the job done.
One more sucessful case.
Hopefully it will work for me too.
Me tooI keep thinking of funkygibbon going out for a smoke, collapsing and being saved by his neighbour.
Probably they did.I don't understand what you're getting at. Do you mean they withheld the cause of death in order to prevent copycats?
Read the mega thread!how do you get hold of SN? I have my own method I just want to know
yeah i thought that was an interesting point, as he could have easily collapsed on walking, he was lucky. So he drank some in his room then went out to a wooded area - that was very risky
I meant that they are probably starting to notice a pattern on all of these SN suicides and reports like this may become all to common in the near future.I don't understand what you're getting at. Do you mean they withheld the cause of death in order to prevent copycats?
do you mean one report gives others the idea- to find out about method?I meant that they are probably starting to notice a pattern on all of these SN suicides and reports like this may become all to common in the near future.
It raises awareness about the method.do you mean one report gives others the idea- to find out about method?
oh no- hope not! kind of glad if it goes under reported to avoid copy cat deaths-keeps it more under the radar for usIt raises awareness about the method.
Let's say that next week 2 more reports of SN suicides are published. Some people who happen to read all of these reports, (journalists most likely), they will probably turn their attentions to SN as they did to N...
Regarding the worry that media coverage of SN CTB's may cause some sorty of "clamp down". I'm just starting my serious research, so I'm certainly not trying to appear as an expert. Been reading all the megathreads in the the reseach section, now beginning the SN megathread. This is why I've got all my SN stuff now. I'd advise others to do the same. There will be more reports, then a media panic, resulting in a major clamp down in availability. They just need one major network to pick it up and mass hysteria will pursue.
may I ask is that video available to watch or do you need to be a member or Xit?Regarding the worry that media coverage of SN CTB's may cause some sorty of "clamp down". Last night I watched the video of Dr. Nitschke at a 2017 conference, discussing the pros and cons of SA and SN. One of the criteria that he and ERGO use to rate the various methods is what they term restrictability. They list SA as restrictable, and SN as non-restrictable, mainly because of the multiple common uses of SN and that fact that SA can be explosive upon contact with metal while SN cannot.
Would be interested in hearing from any knowledgeable posters (Stan?) as to their thoughts about the restrictabilty issue.
It's on the third or fourth page of the SN megathread.may I ask is that video available to watch or do you need to be a member or Xit?
Just ordered a 500 g bottle. Items were still available on (name redacted) in US. Better to have and not need, than to need and not be able to get.Just looked at the site where I obtained mine from, UK suppliers have now gone
Yes, I know what you're talking about as far as the acid production. However, there are three points which should be seriously considered. First, vomiting only happens in a minority of cases. Second, no professional paramedic uses direct lips-to-lips contact anymore, they use a mask. And third, in a major change of position, the American Heart Association and most other organizations now say to skip the mouth-to-mouth breathing and just press on the chest, in other words hands-only CPR.The thing about SA it can be used as a precursor to an explosive device as you mentioned. Hence the restrictions placed upon it in the sad world we have been living in over the past few decades with both domestic and international terrorism. So in some countries SA is a very reportable substance if someone outside of manufacturing/industrial or equivalent purchases it, i.e Joe/Josephine Public. Looking at the availability in my country (UK), there ae a few labs that sell SA, I have not gone through the whole process to see if they deliver to a private address using a personal credit card, but one site did state clearly that a police check would happen prior to delivery.
One thing I do not like about SA is the potential danger it poses to those who find your body through the Hydrazoic acid it produces when it makes contact with your stomach acids. If you vomit, this will come up. If you have a hero who tries mouth to mouth resuscitation then they will be hurt.
Would be interested in hearing from any knowledgeable posters (Stan?) as to their thoughts about the restrictabilty issue.
I think the only clue I can give is that in the UK as mention above, they will do a police check prior to delivery. I guess there will be some inappropriate profiling done there.I'm more concerned with the difficulty of obtaining it, and the damage it would do to me in case of an unsuccessful attempt!
God help the UK and its encroaching iron fisted nanny state.I think the only clue I can give is that in the UK as mention above, they will do a police check prior to delivery. I guess there will be some inappropriate profiling done there.
