No reason not to masturbate. It's just looking at shitloads of porn that's the problem. I never really felt I had any control over it, but I managed to not look at so much for a month. Maybe I felt a little happier. Porn fucks with your expectations of sex, and, for me at least, made focusing during intercourse more difficult. I don't know if that will ever change. If you have any sort of fetish, then it's hard to avoid looking at it at all, because your fantasy is right there, and fulfilling a fantasy in reality (unless you're wealthy) is very unlikely.
