Any slit wrist attempts?

I'm just wondering cos i sat for hours on the bathroom floor the other night with the razor just held against my wrist, kinda knowing that i'd not be able to break the skin cos i'm not brave enough. Then i hated myself cos i really just needed to go then, and i didn't have any other suitable provisions like SN to use, so i should've just used the razor but the thought of cutting made me feel sick. Now i'm still here and feel even sicker.
Has anyone been able to break the skin and how far did you get? Anywhere near an artery?

I have a dented a couple of times by cutting my wrists.

Please don't. It's messy and rarely succeeds. The ulnar artery is quite deep in

I did it. About 32 slashes with a 10 blade scalpel across both forearms when I was 18. I was in a huge panic so I cut the wrong way and didn't do any good damage. Felt no pain because of the intense adrenaline rush and the sharpness of the blade but I have huge white scars lining my forearms now. Not pretty and not fun to explain to people. Only time I was ever able to cut. Sort of regret it but not really.

I tried 2 slashes on my left wrist with a razor blade about 6 months ago. Lots of blood but i didnt hit any major arteries unfortunately. Im also squeamish when it comes to these kinds of things so i didnt research the proper technique beforehand. I just cut in some places that i hoped would do the trick.

I tried with a razor digging as deep as I could, but it still was not deep enough. I have hypertrophic scars there now.

I tried this over ten years ago back when better info wasn't out there beyond the "cut down the road, not across the street". I think I slit my wrists until blood was everywhere and submerged them in warm water to encourage blood loss. (this is dumber than dumb, dont do this). Obviously it didn't work and by the grace of the suicide gods I did not lose both my arms to a staph infection. I just have ugly raised scars to show for it and had to cut my food with a spoon for months.

Tried it. Failed. I guess razor blades aren't the best for this type of thing- wish someone had told me that before hand.

Just about the method least likely to work i have ever come across from research. But for the courage involved i think it rates highly.

Cutting wrists is barely lethal according to statistics. Only 6% is the chance of success.
