I've never tried them but I'm thinking about doing so.

If you've tried them, what was the experience like? What psychedelic did you take?

Ive taken both psilocybin and LSD. Considering where the forum we are on, I would not recommend doing it if you are in a seriously negative headspace as any drug can exacerbate negative feelings quite a lot and your trips will be very miserable and you can may make dangerous decisions while in an altered state.

I've done mushrooms abt four times now and every time has been pretty fun. the first time with my best friend and we both got high and just hung out at his house. was pretty standard trip afaik, I felt very euphoric and the hallucinations made every mundane object the most beautiful thing in the world lol. Once the high came down I felt very reflective ln where i was at in life, very sad, but also felt very motivated to make a big effort to change myself. It motivated heavily to move out of my parents and go to college lol, I honestly think I wanted it before the mushrooms but the mushrooms helped push me to get my shit together faster.

I recommend doing it with people, if u have any who would be willing, bc personally when I do it alone I get way too in my head and feel awful and get very anxious.

First time I did lsd it was a very small amount, I got very giddy and euphoric which was very fun. The second time I took way too much and smoked a bunch of weed bc we ran out of cigarettes and my friend didn't want to go to the corner store bc we were starting to trip. That turned into a fucking nightmare of anxiety where i took too much ativan in an attempt to cut the trip and went in and out of consciousness trying to play tetris in vr. I had a weird sense of dread the entire time but the trip wasn't bad, visually the hallucinations were awesome but there were some scary audio hallucinations. So I recommend not smoking weed and also not taking an unknown amount your first time like we did lmao.

Overall I prefer shrooms to acid, mdma can also be fun but I have too little experience with it to really speak on it.

Lately when I take any psychedelic i get very in my head and anxious. I did it last summer with my gf and although it was very fun to trip with here I felt pretty overwhelmed with the small amount we took, idk if its just where I'm at emotionally or something.

Hope this helps a bit

You can always take more. You can't take less. Tripping can be highly dependent on set and setting. In other words, on your current mind state, and where you are tripping at. Considering you are posting on here I assume you are depressed. There are no promises there. Just dont go into it being actively very suicidal. This is a recipe for PTSD. Benzos (xanax, valium, etc) are a trip killer so if you have them, use them for an emergency situation. Psychedelics can be incredibly healing, and they can also be incredibly scary. Lean into the experience. Do not fight it. Anyways its more likely you find everything hyserically funny rather than scary. The reason people say it makes them feel better, is because it allows you to analyze your situation from a different perspective and in a much more objective way.

Every psychedelic will effect people differently. However there are some constants. You may get nauseous on the come up. Especially with mushrooms. It is to be expected. If you are doing shrooms look into "lemon tek". Making a tea with the mushrooms powdered and then adding lemon and ginger makes it much nicer. Also be careful smoking weed while tripping. It intensifies the effects sometimes to a very unexpected level and can induce things like thought loops. I have done acid, shrooms, dmt, 2c-b, ketamine, and some other research chemical stuff. All in all psychadelics can be a great tools. Not to be misused.

I took LSD once in the 80s I didn't enjoy it at all. I spent hours looking in the mirror convinced that my face was charging shape.
I had magic mushrooms twice the first time was like being drunk but ten times more disorientating.
There's no way I'd do these again considering my suicidal depression.

Just ketamine infusions under a doctor. It was really weird. Didnt help my depression but was interesting leaving my body for a bit and feeling like I was dead in another dimension. Id like to try shrooms one day with a trauma therapist guiding me through

I've tripped on mushrooms before and it's really fun, but you shouldn't take psychedelics unless you are already feeling okay. Otherwise, you risk having a bad trip. They also have a therapeutic element to them that I cannot deny, which is nice. I find that sometimes they can make me feel euphoric and they tend to make the colours around you look more vibrant. Music also sounds amazing when you are tripping. I really love the visuals and deep introspection that come with them as well.
