  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I envy you guys. You probably live in America. I tried them from a friend and they're the only thing that cures my depression. Not the shitty antipsychotics (was on Abilify then Risperidal) or antidepressants (Zoloft, Prozac, Effexor).

The trouble is I live in Ireland and here in Europe, it's notoriously difficult to get these medicines. I used to get benzos from a GP but got addicted and forged the script. Now a different and younger GP I have refuses to hand me a script for them. Same with my psychiatrist. But they'll hand out zombie medicines.

A lot of people say that therapy is better than medicine but I somewhat disagree. I think it's better to have the option of controlled medicines and then get therapy rather than not have the option at all and have to resort to finding them on the black market. All my friends I know here in Ireland who have ADHD but can't get the medicines just get them from the Dark Web which is riskier.

I entirely agree that medication is more useful than therapy for many people. Dark web probably is the best option, is there any testing you can do? Adderall is similar to speed I think - is it worth trying speed? Speed was used to treat depression from the 1930s. Could be easier to test the purity on it. I have tried speed for my depression and it didn't help me - but I have read it helps some people. There is also Buprenorphine which is promising for depression, but you can't get it because it is an opiate. Have you tried weed? It helps me a bit or sometimes a lot.

Coedine/Ibuprofen boosts my mood somewhat, but I only use it occasionally, as I don't want to get addicted to it - it is worth trying, but don't take it too often. I also tried Tramadol (check out the reviews on Tramadol for depression on Drugs.com) but it didn't help me apart from for one day! But I have boxes of it now that I don't know what to do with.

I highly highly recommend Modafinil for occasional use which you can buy online. Yesterday, I could not get off the floor - no motivation, I was just lying on the floor. Then I had 40 or 50mg of Modafinil and coud get up and function again. There is research that says it helps depression (from Cambridge University) that you can find online. It is easy to buy online and legal to import. I wouldn't take it every day, as there are some concerns about long-term use - but ain't that the same for everything. At least it works pretty instantly.

Ironically, I was prescribed Lyrica by a psychiatrist, which is Class C, but honestly, there are a million drugs I'd rather take - and it didn't help me. I am currently sitting on a prescription for Seroquel which scares me.

Totally agree I had to resort to get my benzos (clonazepam) from the deep web because my psychiatrist wouldn´t prescribe it and they wasn´t even allowed therapy as long as I was on benzos because it is seen as an addiction which it is but still refusing me therapy because I use benzos to keep me anxiety free? So I got refered to a rehab center so now I have to get off benzos and alcohol before I can be accepted for their therapy.

Also the ironic thing is one month after I have totally stopped using benzos they will prescribe me Zoloft for anxiety so it´s okay to be addicted to "zombie medicines" as you call it but not benzos; the reason behind this "logic" is of course that benzos are much more addictive but SSRI´s are very addictive too and hard to get off from what I´ve heard.

Most doctors I've had don't know much - they just test things on you by trial and error, which is all they can do, as they don't know which medication will work for which person. That's why we need more research.

It's also why I've bought medication online, because I don't like doctors, who don't really know that much about mental health, prescribing me things like Lyrica, when I don't want to take Lyrica as a first option.

I've tried Nurofen Plus which contains codeine phosphate/ibuprofen. It's legal here in Ireland OTC. I assume you must live in the UK/Europe

Plus 2231906b

The thing is, my doctor recommended not to take it too often not because of addiction but because I used to take 20+ tablets (built a tolerance to codeine). Each tablet contains 12.8mg of codeine but a whopping 200mg of ibuprofen so 4000mg/4g and more of ibuprofen is really bad for my gastrointestinal tract.

I've been thinking of asking my GP for Modafinil as i see it has a low risk of addiction and works way better than caffeine pills or Sudafed (pseudoephedrine hcl).

I'm not sure about Lyrica (pregablin). I think it's more tightly controlled here in the Republic of Ireland but it's given freely in Northern Ireland/UK.

I have been prescribed Ativan off and on, previously only in 1997 when my mother died, and again in 2000 when my brother died. Both deaths meant the potential to have to see my father who caused severe sexual trauma to me starting at age 4. Only these two times was I prescribed Ativan. Forward to 2019 and during panic attacks I was prescribed Ativan again, and have been going on and off of it for 18 months, currently taking it again. Being in Alcohol recovery, I just don't know why Ativan is such a (supposed) some sort of "evil". I do know there are articles about the suicide of some or the other celebrity where it was found he had been taking Ativan. Maybe that's where some of this view of Ativan as some kind of "evil" came from, for all I know. I never exceed the amount to be taken, on the shrink's prescription. But leaning to depression as I do, I judge myself for taking it. Mostly I take it for sleep. My great shrink retired recently, and I don't know if another shrink will be willing to keep prescribing the Ativan to me. I have gone off it before and can go off it again, I guess.

Have you tried research chemicals? there's legal loopholes with rc's and stuff, maybe it's legal where you live and even if its not they are probably still cheaper and easier to get than other stuff.

Etizolam is a pretty nice benzo rc and 2fma is a stimulant i used to use quite alot. Just be aware these are unstudied and the long-term effects and side effects are not totally known

I am prescribed Valium, have taken klonopin, but the best is Xanax. Just go into the shrink's office acting all nervous and after they offer you some antipsychotic just insist you need something for acute anxiety.

I'm in the UK and receive lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse). I first obtained it from a private consultation and private prescription but after my titration, they prescribe it NHS through my normal GP. He's also willing to prescribe an extra top-up for occasions where I have to work night shifts (but that is not applicable currently because most of the film industry is still unemployed following CoVid)

What did you say in the private consultation? Ive been trying to get adderall or vyvanse forever. I was prescribed adderall as a kid.

Instead, now, my psych is just giving me wellbutrin that does nothing.

He gave me a questionnaire to diagnose ADHD and I had a friend fill one out as well. I didn't even know what he was prescribing to be honest, I didn't specifically ask for a stimulant, I just wanted some help.

I wonder if it varies by different consultants and psychs. Although it's probably also worth saying that I've never taken drugs or had any addiction issues, so there were none of those flags on my notes.

Other than that I have no idea, I actually had to Google what it was when he prescribed it, if I'm honest

I live in Ireland and got a prescription for xanax from a psychiatrist for social anxiety. I didn't ask for it just told them I was willing to give meds another try so he gave me that and sertraline.

Maybe it's just because of the previous addiction to benzos that they're being catious with you . The place I go is very laid back when it comes to meds and tries to push them on everyone. I'm on a low dose of 0.25mg twice a day , think that's like 56 tablets a month. Could you try a different psychiatrist?

Current drug regime: sertraline, lorazepam yeah!!, chlorpromazine, promethazine, melatonin, trazadone and pregabalin.
Now don't get me started on the question, how effective are they? Does weed not just make you more paranoid ?
Forgot the new one, mirtazapine.
