  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Because of my joblessness, I'm not able to really afford a therapist. I feel like I'd be safer talking to someone online rather than in person. That said, I have my misgivings about therapy in general, after going through a few psych courses in college, which left a negative opinion of the field in my mind, compounded with the negative experiences people have here. Does anyone think I could benefit from some form of therapy? I'd be willing to give it a try online, so long as I could remain anonymous. Can anyone recommend any decent online free therapy site? I've seen 7cups in google searches, but I looked at reddit, and apparently it isn't very well recommended. Thanks.

the closest to that i've found is a forum similar to this called "suicideforum.com". it's been around for about 20 years as a suicideforum that helps suicidal people. there's a ton of members still there from 15 years ago which is crazy to me. but it personally had people whom were empaths that helped me alot when i was going through stuff and really understood me genuinly on that site. honestly the closest to a free therapeutic forum for suicide you'll find, as it's been a mental health advocate for years as well and has it's own mobile app.

perhaps giving that a try, it can't hurt to give it a try.

Sadly, you get what you pay for, and free is usually suicide hotline level of help.

I have yet to find an online therapy site that will even take me these days, free or paid. They all say I need more care than they can give.

There's a site called Better Help Counseling that sounds worth looking into from what I've heard. I can't tell you anything else but I'm about to check into it myself.

I tried it. It... Works... Except it's expensive. It does work for me,though.

You can do workbooks, like the McKay DBT workbook. You don't need to have CPTSD to benefit from these but the cptsd subreddit has a post called cptsd library with lots of workbooks. I think some of them are even free for download under the workbooks section.
