• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I was watching some YouTubes and came across an episode of a show called "I Was Possessed." The 2nd episode starts at 24 min in and in it they say that demons can possess someone in order to make them depressed enough to commit suicide. (The devil hates human life because humans are made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26).) If the demon is driven out of them by an exorcism they are no longer suicidal and enjoy life once again.

Q: Has anyone who's suicidal tried an exorcism? If so, how did it go? If not, why not try one? IIRC, the Catholic Church does not charge for exorcisms (it's a ministry), even for non-Catholics. Even a minor exorcism (special prayer), could help.

If you have an aversion to holy things (churches, prayer, worship services, cross/crucifix, Bible, holy water), but you did not before, Satan may be working on you!

Try everything before you throw everything away!

There is no such thing as demons or Satan.

Saying hello to magpies or taking sugar pills doesn't hurt anybody, but belief in demon possession does. Fear of the Devil has cost so many lives for absolutely no good reason, when people get accused of being possessed or witches or whatever.

The idea of demonic possession as a cause of depression or suicidal thoughts is a deeply religious perspective, primarily associated with Christian theology, especially in some Catholic and evangelical communities. While exorcisms are part of the Catholic Church's ministry, they are not a common or standard treatment for mental health issues like depression or suicidal ideation.

Wouldn't I be having a lot more deviant fun if a demon was inside me? They must be bored stiff. No wonder they'd want me to end it so they could move on to someone more interesting.

For those who already believe in demons or are openminded the possibility, here are two videos you may find worthwhile. The first is an interview with a psychiatrist who reviews and interviews cases of suspected demonic possession to eliminate mental health/psychological cases. He's been involved in more cases than anyone else in history, Columbia professor Richard Gallagher, MD.

https://youtu.be/_nykgxlknro

The second gives his qualifications and experience at the beginning of the video.

https://youtu.be/ZfunNURoO2w

12 min in he explains that nations around the world throughout time believed in and believe in demons and demonic attacks.

40 min in he explains that in true demonic attacks the ultimate demonic goal is total possession or suicide of the host.

… While exorcisms are part of the Catholic Church's ministry, they are not a common or standard treatment for mental health issues like depression or suicidal ideation.
Exorcisms are also part of Eastern Orthodox and Anglican/Episcopalian ministries.

At least in USA, the RC church requires suspected cases have a physical evaluation by a physician and a mental health evaluation by psychiatrist before an exorcist determines if the case is truly of demonic spiritual origin and refers the case to the bishop for a decision about proceeding with an exorcism.

No one said or implied that all cases of depression or suicidal ideation are caused by demons, only that some may be.

As I often say, "Try everything before throwing everything away."
