I'm thinking that a lot of people use drugs and dose up here and there. Talks of micro dosing with mushrooms, or dosing with benzos. The only difference between you and a doctor is that the doctor thinks they know something will help you.

Are you dosing yourself? Have you found something that works and doesn't numb it? For me the sweet spot would be a bit of marijuana with a little bit of gin maybe for a confidence boosting, anxiety killing combo. Is my idea new Adderall the world needs? Maybe not. But if it works for me, could you call that a successful prescription?

Here's the thing. There are pros and cons to everything you put in your body. Melatonin, even, is great in 4 mg doses, but double that and you can start actually staying awake longer. My point is that if you do something new, on your own, and especially a combination of drugs, you won't know the cons if'n they get you.

I would say so about me at the moment. I've learned what works for me and what doesn't, and where to draw the line (especially with alcohol) to avoid too many negative consequences.

I fucked up my brain with enough drugs .

I had a psychosis episode because I was binging dxm for over a 500mg for a week.
I was taking 1000mg dosages of Benadryl a year ago so I could feel what hell felt like.

I get high to hurt myself not to make myself feel better.

Imo drugs of any kind are never the solution to the actual problem that we think we can "treat" by consuming drugs. Often medication prescribed by a doctor is also not the solution to the actual problem that is causing us mental health issues.
