In another thread/article that I wrote about others' outliving us, I just had another philosophical perspective that takes a concept from math, called the "Absolute Value" (applied loosely) when it comes to either outliving someone (particularly someone that one despises) or being outlived. Of course, this is just a perspective that one takes and is just one way of interpreting the world. Before I proceed, the term 'absolute value' especially in the realm of mathematics is where any value, suppose 'x' can either be a positive number or negative number, but when the absolute value of x is applied, then the value of x will always be positive.

So as mentioned in one of my previous threads about whether one deems it to have 'won' or see that others' have outlived themselves, as a potentially positive outcome due to the lack of "continued" suffering from an individual, but in this thread, I'm looking at another angle too, that on the contrary, if one does outlive another, it could also potentially be a positive for said individual (depending on one's perspective too, and will vary from individual to individual – it's not an absolute). This is because the person who was outlived by individual would no longer suffer, but also if said person was someone that isn't desirable (Note: This isn't advocating for pro-death or glorifying death, but just giving a perspective.), then the person who was causing harm will no longer cause harm as the person who was harmful has passed (regardless of the manner in which said harmful person has passed) and can no longer have any active effect (whether positive or negative) on the living. I will give an example to make this clearer:

Case Example (simple one, and there are many more, but this one will suffice):
C grew up being bullied and ousted from what C wanted to be a part of (maybe it was a niche community of some sort, but all the intricate details are irrelevant), but there were many people in that subgroup that rejected C as C just wasn't welcome or accepted.

Scenario A: Eventually, C was fed up (along with reasons only person to 'C' oneself) and on C's own terms, C took C's own life, no longer suffering. While C may not have 'won' in the sense of justice, acceptance of the niche group or so, C is no longer suffering or dealing with the repercussions of rejection and other things. (Yes it would have been better to have solved it if possible but again not everything has a solution or could reasonably be solved satisfactorily or such..)

Scenario B: Instead of CTB, C endured and before C has CTB'd (was perhaps months or maybe a year from doing so), so new breakthrough or news of niche group's leader (especially 'S' who has rejected C from joining and being a part of the niche group) has died (maybe natural causes or so, cause of death irrelevant here) and C has in a sense reached closure and peace. Maybe C could not have CTB'd or CTB'd later, at least C has found justice before CTB. Either way, if C continues and postpones the CTB later on, at least C is at relative peace after the event, or even if not truly at peace, at least had some modicum of relief. Again it's subjective but this is just one of many scenarios presuming how C would react...

In conclusion, this thread is more of a philosophical one with regards to applying a simple mathematical concept to explain a philosophical stance and perspective as well as explore it in depth. This does not mean that one glorifies death nor pushes for death, but it is an interesting way to look at things. Does anyone else view it through the lens of mathematics or see it that way as well? Again, given that I'm an analytic person and sometimes I see patterns in sentience and mathematics, I cannot help but to recognize them and put them together or see it in an unusual way, which was looking at whether one outlives or not to be a 'win-win' scenario especially in the case of reparations and justice or so, and finding peace.
