  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I never thought it would be possible to reduce Amitriptyline from 175mg to 25mg. I have taken it for more than 10 years, for chronic pain. It took me only 3 weeks to get from 175mg to 25mg. I did experience severe withdrawal effects, the most problematic was/is insomnia. The next step is to reduce to 10 mg, and eventually not take it at all. I take 9mg of Melatonin for sleep, not sure how effect it is, some nights are better than others.

I am still thinking of going for ketamine therapy for my chronic pain, pity it is so expensive. The initial therapy plan is 4 hours of ketamine infusion per day, for 6 consecutive days, then once per month. The treatment center is 90 km from where I live, will have to book a nearby hotel/guesthouse to reduce traveling expenses (Uber).

Recently been suffering from severe depression episodes, as I start to realize that I need to work MORE, else things will definitely not workout for me over the long-term. Working with this much pain is not possible, so I better make a plan at the soonest. If ketamine doesn't work, then I am officially out of options, then I can honestly say that I have tried everything, and that my life is over, as a disabled person.

Glad that you're experiencing some of the reductions you want, even if it comes with such withdrawal effects. It sucks that the nearest treatment centre is that far away from you for ketamine therapy. I hope you can find a balance between the work you're seeking, and the pain management you deserve. Best wishes for your ongoing progress
