Hey everyone,

does anybody know or know a term for the problem when you want to please everyone around you and are more responsible of others than of yourself?
And kind of expect it vice-versa but rather be exploited?
When all what matters are their feelings and problems?
When, if you don't care in general, it's your fault that they suffer? Even if it hasn't anything to do with you but they coerce you?
When you want to be perfect for them so that they feel pleased and at ease albeit they might despect you?
When you're afraid to do or feel something only for yourself because then you expect your life and sanity to get harmed severely? By 'loved' ones?
And will be abandoned if you want to be free and take good care of yourself?

And feel the urge to fix people around you so that someday there might be someone you could rely on and fix yourself?
But you allways end up being prayed of your energy?

Thank you.

[I admire people who are liable exclusively of themselves while never exploit s.o. else. Guess they never got their lines crossed]

There are a few terms. People who exploit others in this fashion are usually egotistical and or sociopathic. Unfortunately the term sociopath is a wide brush with which to paint and it can be used for most people in modern society.

Hubris is another good one to explain modern society. We sure do have alot of that going around as well.
