An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
You can try a CPAP mask like mine. For example, I will use a cream siphon and small N2O cylinders instead of a cylinder. I will fill the oxygen bag with gas and then attach the tube and mask. But if you have already bought a 10-liter cylinder and the necessary tools for it, then it is better to use it.
Personally, I feel that important details like that are left out here (unnecessarily) due to concerns of shutting websites down. But when it's general shit like connectors and stuff, come on!!
You're probably going to need to cut that end fitting off the hose coming from the mask, and then attach another same-size hose to it with a "barb" and clamps. You need to find a hose with the needed fitting on the end to attach to your flowmeter. I have no idea if the mask you have will work.

That's how it's done. You have to extend the existing hose with another "similar" hose. You do that by cutting the "fitting" off the existing hose, and then inserting one end of a "barb" into one hose, and the other end of the barb into the new piece of hose. This joins the 2 pieces of hose together.

The brass piece is a "barb". It connects 2 pieces of hose together. To use it, you have to cut the other fitting off the end of the hose coming from the mask. Once you do that you can measure the inside diameter of the hose, buy another piece of hose with the same inside diameter, and buy a barb for that same diameter. Then you just slide each end of the barb into each hose end and secure some clamps (not shown) around them. https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...d-guide-inert-gas-method.122159/#post-2041416

Why would they? You just buy a piece of hose that matches the inside diameter of the existing hood hose. However, if someone had two hoses with different inside diameters, they do make barb fittings to accommadate this. They're called reducing barbs. With one you could connect a hose with a 1/4 inch diameter on one side of the barb, and on the other side connect a hose with a 1/2 inch diameter inside dimension. Or, get one for whatever sizes you need. Frankly, I could get a smaller ID hose over a too-large barb, within reason of course, if I had to, simply using some muscle, maybe a little lubricant, maybe softening up the hose a bit in some boiling water.

The barb coming from the flow meter is 5/16". I'm unable to find a double sided barb that fits this and 3/8" (assuming) of the eebd hose. Would 2mm difference (0.07" barb being bigger than hose) be too much to fit the barb?

I take it you haven't "cut" the hose from the hood? You can measure the outside of the hose, but the wall thickness is anyone's guess. Maybe the ID is 3/8"? Idk. Another option is to replace the barb on the flowmeter with a 3/8" barb (but same size threads). Then just get a piece of 3/8" hose to extend the reach to the flowmeter. All this assumes 3/8" ID hose on the hood. Really need to cut and measure it. As far as getting 5/16" hose on a 3/8" barb, I could probably do it without too much effort. Long as the hose doesn't split, it should be good. As far as using mm sizes of barbs, it would probably be even easier if you can find comparable sizes.

So I thought of ordering a barb size from the flow meter that's 3/8" output. Problem is it's a M12 (and I don't know if it's x1 or x1.5). They are VERY hard to find. Found only one and it costs me €50 just for the shipping. For a single barb.
I think I'll go with the flow meter and see what hose works. Though, with my measurements I think I got the OD right.
Once eebd arrives, I'll cut a segment of the hose and use that to see what barb fits (alongside with hose that fits the flow meter barb). Though I suspect I got the measurements right. Again, if eebd hose id turns out to be 3/8"
If I'm right my hope is the hose that fits flow meter barb won't rupture when put on the barb.
What kind of oil would you recommend to make the tight 5/16" hose fit on the 3/8" double sided barb?
LE: I now visited the link you gave me. And that's exactly what I'd need. Good to know it's out there. I now have to find a different seller as I don't want to order from amzn (personal preference).
No oil. Spit or liquid dish soap. The difference between 5/16" and 3/8" (or the near metric equivalent because of your locale) is not that much. It might slide on with little effort and no lube.
