Capitalism breeds suicide in ways that are subtle, but undeniable. It pushes people into a relentless race for status, money, and "success," leaving those who can't keep up feeling worthless. Economic insecurity, the constant pressure to perform, and the fear of failure lead to hopelessness. People aren't valued for who they are, but for what they can produce, its all so pointless.
The mental health system is a joke—too expensive, too inaccessible. We're told to "pull ourselves up" and "work harder," but in reality, most of us are trapped in jobs we hate, just to survive. The social isolation is suffocating. Relationships are transactional. People are more like competitors than companions, and you end up just existing, not really living.
We're all sold this dream—the idea that if we work hard enough, we'll make it. But that's just a lie. The American Dream is a marketing campaign, a trap. And when you realize you're never going to catch it, the despair is overwhelming. The system isn't broken. It's designed this way, to chew people up and spit them out when they're no longer useful.
Maybe we're just collateral damage in a system that doesn't care, and maybe that's the saddest thing of all.
