An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
hi yall. im planning on getting drunk tonight and driving in the highway. maybe 120mph. theres a lot of construction work in the road. so hopefully i coudl end up crashing against some heavy machinery. no belt. id need to figure out how to deactivate the airbags. this is my only chance. any advice?
Assuming you're serious and not just trying to be edgy and cool, I highly doubt anyone here will encourage you to CTB using a method which could potentially harm or kill innocent bystanders. Myself included.

this is not a good idea at all! getting drunk will likely keep you from dying in the crash and you will potentially injure multiple people. and if you don't pass or become permanently injured you'll end up in prison for killing innocent people. please rethink this as it's not realistic

Usually I just say "that will not work" and provide some reasons why. But drunk driving routinely kills other people and this is a well known fact. Your plan to purposefully engage in this for your own benefit is a particular kind of callousness I can not abide. Let us throw some numbers out there:
Percentage of drunk driving fatalities that were the driver: 58%. Percentage of drunk driving fatalities that were someone not in the car with the driver: 28%. Almost half as many people get killed by the drunk driver. Or, on average, one out of every two times the driver dies, they also kill someone else.
Driving under the influence of alcohol has caused 25% of all child fatalities in vehicular crashes.
A 2019 study found that the total economic cost of drunk driving accidents was $58 billion. That includes property damage, medical costs, and productivity loss due to injury.
Dawns is correct, you are less likely to be severely injured if you are drunk. The running theory is that your body is more relaxed and so you "go with the flow" in a crash rather than try to stiffly brace yourself. Thus, you are more "squishy" and just kind of bounce around rather than hit things hard.
"Drunk drivers are more likely to survive a crash because their muscles are more relaxed, leading to their body not tensing up as much during a collision. This can prevent more severe injuries that sober people experience after a car accident. Alcohol also impairs a person's reflexes."
