  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

hey everyone. i'm just really exhausted lately. physically and emotional. i'm used to being tired, it's just a lot worse lately. i started having chronic joint pain a few months ago and it hurts like a bitch, but i can still move and do stuff most of the time. haven't been able to see a specialist abt it because no one's returned my calls or responded to any new patient stuff yet. but what sucks is tht my roommate/bestfriend also has chronic pain. the difference tho is that if she has a bad pain day, bc of her health issues, if she does stuff or moves too much we might have to go to the ER. so i end up having to do a lot when im in a lot of pain. she feels rly bad about it and i'm not upset with her, it just sucks for both of us. and it's just so exhausting to try and take care of myself and another person. like i said i don't blame her or anything and i'm not mad at her, i'm just frustrated we're in this situation bc both of our families suck and a lot of other stuff. does anyone have any tips for dealing with caregiver's fatigue and burnout?

I'm so sorry both you and your roommate have to deal with that pain.
I'm not an expert but can't you go to a doctor and get some pain killers or something like that?

I used to feel tired 24/7 and realized it was because of my sleeping disorder. Since I go to bed and wake up at the same hour, I'm feeling better. Maybe that could help you!

she has doctors, but she has so many issues bc of a rly bad car wreck that she needs a lot of specialists. we just can't afford all the doctors and meds she needs and we're both still in school. i've been taking over the counter pain meds while looking for a doctor but i havent heard back from any yet and it's been a couple months. still trying tho. thank u for reaching out

Didn't know this was a thing but I guess it describes my situation pretty well. Being the only one who can make my nonverbal adult autistic sister do most basic things like get dressed or eat is pretty draining because of how frustratingly stubborn she can be. Even though she listens to me, she still likes to take her sweet time on almost every action she takes plus she has a habit of hurting herself a lot by scratching up her skin if it gets too itchy or picking out specks of dust/dandruff that only she can see. Even when we're both hanging around doing nothing I get exhausted easily anyway because there's always the fear that she could do something either dangerous or frustrating.
