We take turns writing moves using chess algebraic notation. For those who are unfamiliar with the notation, it looks like this:
Each move is described in this format: Piece-Type + Square-Coordinates. For example, Nf3 = Knight to f3, and Bf5 = Bishop to f5. For pawn moves, no letter is used to denote the piece-type; only the destination square is given.
Below shows how the squares on the board are named:

- If someone has played a move as White, then they aren't allowed to play a move as Black, and vice versa
