Chloroform death. Because its not like in the movies.

How difficult or easy is it to die from chloroform? I read that real kidnappers dont use it, because its easy to either use too little, which keeps the victim screaming, or may accidentally make the victim die. I like that 'accidentally'.

Potentially use it in combination with sitting on something without a back, or standing. And a hanging tool. Or a strap/strangulation tool tied to something. So fainting will cause hanging if the cholorofrom is not enough. And some contruction to hold the chloroform right under your nose.

This one is for sale! Its not even expensive. Many sites seem to sell it.

I don't think it would be such a good idea...

Just doing quick research on the method it takes about 5 minutes to knock you unconscious, which isn't really the issue. The issue is that I don't think there's an estimated time it would take you to die. Once you're unconscious how would you know if more chloroform would need to be administered? What if your rag dries out or falls? What are the implications of failing using this method? A quick wikipedia search found:

"After a person has lost consciousness due to chloroform inhalation, a continuous volume must be administered and the chin must be supported to keep the tongue from obstructing the airway, a difficult procedure typically requiring the skills of an anesthesiologist."

There would be no way to do this alone that I can think of... let me know if you've found anything different

Wouldn't use on it's own...but, will definitely use it in combination with a plastic bag. The main problem with the plastic bag method was that, people kept tearing the bag off their face, even when unconscious...that's because they use sedatives....Chloroform is a powerful anesthetic...which paralyzes the skeletal muscles...so, there would be no convulsions and no risk of tearing the bag subconsciously...which will lead to a peaceful death with asphyxia.

Chloroform and Ether were once used as anesthetics...They both solve the main problem associated with plastic bag method...It's not new...people are just ill-informed...
