Discussion Cigarettes and tabacco products?

How many people smoke or use other products?

I've tried it a few times,but it doesn't appeal to me. From what I've been told,smoking only really becomes pleasurable once you're addicted to it,and the pleasure itself is more like satisfying a craving. (You might as well just masturbate,doesn't cost you a dime and doesn't harm your health.)

The other substances are far more appealing to me,unfortunately they are illegal in most countries,which is stupid if they are allowing the legalization of Alcohol and Cigarettes.

I do have a question for regular smokers here though. If you could go back in time,would you have refrained from cigs before you developed the "Acquired taste" from it?

Smoking cigarettes is as appealing as eating shit. That smell is absolutely disgusting.
But hey, that's just my opinion.

I don't think that's worth it,considering how long it'll take you to get the job done and you may very well just end up a cripple(people having to rely on those voice machine thingies to speak)if people rush you to the hospital.

But hey,if you personally enjoy smoking,I guess you're benefiting from the activity regardless.

Agree. But I am addicted. I only smoke outside and was a closet smoker until I decided to CTB. Used Nicorette gum at work, smoked in private etc.


There was a certain cache to cigarette smoking until it became socially abhorrent.

I enjoy them as well just as a way to escape for a few mins.

First of all, I'm not an ex-smoker, I just tried it a few times out of curiosity, and I did not like it at all, very bad taste.

I used to smoke but quit a few months ago. Before that, I smoked on and off for about twenty years.
