Games Continue the story game

Each player comes up with the next line of a continuing story, maximum three sentences.

Once upon a time, there was a village of SS'ers who built a commune on a piece of land. Their daily tasks included cooking, taking care of livestock and gardens, and maintaining the peace. The mayor and great leader's name was @Smilla.

They also had to carry razors in their pockets. Every day they had to spend time on chat. They chanted around a fire "kill us now."

This must have been the cult neighborhood.
@Kdawg2018 had too much of the kool-aid.

The new members had to mix the kool-aid so that the older members could die.

One day, @Chinaski dressed in his loincloth,
came running up to the great leader @Smilla in a panic. "Quick!" He said, panting, "something has happened!"

And like that, forty menbers were discovered in a heaven's gate style mass departure. @Johnnythefox quickly assessed the situation, while @gingerplum investigated the laced applesauce.

The creeps in the cult got off on the dead bodies. Then the rest of us helped burn them. @Pineapplecrown potted flower beds for the community with the ashes.

And @MsM3talGamer helped place the ashes into urns that then composted to become trees. However, there was a twist. They each became a different fruit tree, which provided food and a haunted forest.

The forest was so haunted that the members were immediately interested in walking through it. We posted signs that said don't forget your rope on the way in.

Over the time many myths came into being around the haunted forest. Also the legend of a deadly fruit that will kill you immediately if you dare to eat it, though no one has found it so far. But every once in a while someone walks into the forest, wanting to find the fruit, and never comes back.

Finnius Vulgarian Bubble was one such man. A coward beyond measure, with the intellect of a lamb and weaker than a newborn, his only admirable trait was his love for all life. Such a man, ironic as it might sound, had been tasked by the bureau of unfortunate incidents, to terminate the corrupt and boisterous ruler of his country. The fruit seemed the ticket to poor, stupid Finnius.

The fruit was known as the forbidden fruit and grew on trees overlooking a beautiful waterfall.This waterfall was called the waters of eternal youth and would bring exactly what it says.do you eat the fruit or swim ?

Finnius gazed in awe at the crystal clear waters of the waterfall cascading into the shallow pool of light. Could it be he had finally found not only the means to assassinate the corrupt ruler (who was very partial to fruit salad) but the remedy to being weak and puny the rest of his life?- Alas, his stupidity was incurable and just as he bunched his poor fitting trousers up around his ankles to take a paddle...
