Coping without parental support

I think one of my main reasons for wanting to die is my parents. I barely talk to/ see them and neither know how to be parents and made my childhood hell and continue to cause me problems today. All i want is a parent to support me and love me, i feel like i cant cope without.

I get it. I wish I could parent you. <3 Do you have anyone else like aunts, uncles, any parents of childhood friends that you might still be in touch with? Or is there any charities around you where you could volunteer as a friend to the elderly? Maybe you could build a relationship with someone like that?

Thank you unfortunately my aunts and uncles for the most part side with my mum (despite seeing how she's treated us) and i have no connection to the other side of my family. Im not close to my best friends parents as i dont get to see them often but i might look into volunteering as a friend to the elderly if thats possible
