• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

It's probably pretty hard to have a peaceful death without the kind of drugs that would be used in euthanasia and plus you could probably die in the presence of other people instead of dying alone.

Switzerland is one of them, but you have to be terminally ill, get all the green-lights by the Swiss doctors and psychologists before you even have a chance to be euthanized.

You don't have to be terminally ill.

I am a member of both dignitas and ex international. They both allow assisted suicide for non terminal patients, even for psychiatric patients.

From dignistas website they say its difficult for someone with diagnosed mental issues to get a green light. Not impossible but expensive process for a possible no.

I've talked with them. I have the exact process for the mental illness process. Basically, you need to find a psychiatrist that will do an in-depth medical appraisal in order to qualify. Also, you need a detailed medical history. So the process takes several months, but if you have all the documents in order, your chances are high.

I respect that process. And I'm aware that Exit and Dignitas have to abide by the law. But I don't want to feel like I have to justify myself or that others know better than me. I don't care if they have a degree or not. I will decide on my own when it's time to go.

I know it in Switzerland...
and Switzerland only (know only Exit) that they may accompany 1 mentally ill person per year. I have recently seen a documentary film about a mentally ill Swiss men, whom they accompanied with a reflection period and intensive accompaniment after a year in death. It is crucial that you find a doctor who will issue you the recipe. In Switzerland, many GPs want to get rid of this task. they don't want that they have to decide. In a mental illness, the chance is extremely small that you despite all the reports from all the doctors.

There was also the case, a young woman, her passion was walking and climbing. she had an accident and could not walk anymore. mentally, she was fully there. but she did not want to live without her passion (at the age of 32) and she was redeemed from exit. if it is physical they will help you very fast as soon as the recipe is there. My dad had cancer and he was feeling better. however, his anxiety was so big because of the cancer that he decided to commit suicide (by exit). before he was totally exhausted I would like to say. With a mental health problem, your chance at 1% is that you will not be rejected. despite years of membership. The controls only get stronger from time to time. especially because of dignitas, too many negative news in Switzerland.
