  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hi everyone, it's my first post so please let me know if it's breaking any rules but here goes nothing.

I've been suffering mentally for over 5 years now, with bouts of mania that have cost me the love of my life about 6 months ago, to add to that, I'm a chronic kidney disease patient with a tumor on my adrenal gland that has made me in constant physical agony since i was 12 basically.

The last couple of months have been entirely too much for me, juggling an extreme pressure from uni, research projects, work, and family has been runing me to the point where i feel like i have become a walking corpse on autopilot, and uni has been so much actually that even though I've been a published researcher since highschool, I'm failing an advanced math course.

So I've decided i just can't and won't accept to continue this way, I've tried everything health wise to no avail, tried therapists and antidepressants (a very hard thing to do in my country btw) and still nothing, and i will CTB in the next month or so.

I lurked the forum here for a few months before making an account and posting and found that there's alot of things i can do but most of them are pretty much out of reach because of location-specific constraints and some are financially unfeasible, but i did read about insulin overdoses causing very sharp hypoglycemic comas in large doses over 300iu and eventually leading to death in 3-ish hours, so i wanted to ask if anyone knows much about this method or has experience with an attempt doing it for example or anything of the sort. Any other methods are practically locked for me so I'm using this one.
P.S.
I attempted twice this month with both 40g of acetamanophen and 10g naproxen about 20 days ago and about 15g of atenolol around a week ago, both did nothing apparently, not even a good sleep after them😭😭.

Re: Your two attempts this month--

Yeah i read these afterwards, but it's the only real means that are accessible to me so idk what else to do honestly.
Hanging and jumping from a height are off the table because i don't want my family to live with that pain and shame yk, it would absolutely ruin them and i don't want that at at all.

I don't know, maybe you know better than me, but insuline (if someone comes to rescue you) would cause irreversible brain damage. It isn't either a peaceful way to die: you will be in a coma only AFTER one hour of pretty bad suffering. To support my thesis, I will put a pdf that tells the story of an attempt of suicide with insulin (it's in italian but you can easily translate). https://www.jamd.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/2012_2_8.pdf It's pretty interesting to look at the end of the second page: even with 4800 U of insulin, the patient will be saved if found in 24 hours.

Post for a bit more and you will have the search unlocked. There are many, many threads of people asking about insulin as a method. It usually is not reliable because everyone reacts differently and your body is a lot stronger than you think it is.

That being said, here are two threads that might be helpful for you until you get the search:
