It did not help me. But, in all fairness, I also have the short form of the serotonin transporter gene so no SSRI anti-depressant has ever worked for me.

No it did not. I experienced negative side effects and no benefit. Made my thoughts foggy - maybe that would help some people get through the day but I found it uncomfortable. After I stopped taking it the withdrawals were unpleasant including insomnia for several nights.

lexapro didnt do anything for me at all. Zoloft made me feel totally numb which i didnt like. Now im on prozac which is the best one yet, but still not great.

Do any meds help? they change the chemistry of your brain and have side effects. Underlying issue is still there waiting to be resolved.
