So much pain...

Hello everyone. It's my first post and I'm not English, so please - forgive my mistakes. I have some questions about partial/night-night method (neck suspencion).

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm testing it by putting a bed sheet tightly around my neck. Then I get an immediate feeling of wanting to put my head down on something (sit down/lay down), so I do that. What follows is that my lips start to feel tingly, my head feels a bit heavy - is this a sign I'm compressing the wrong artery/vein? - because I think the blood can go in, but can't get out.

Then I start breathing through my mouth (feels like not enough air in lungs, but doesn't feel like I'm blocking the airway), my heart beats faster and stronger. Then I guess something right starts happening - I feel my whole body start to get warm, some minor involuntary twitches in arms and legs, dizzy, darkness in eyes -- but then everything returns to normal. I'm fully self-aware during all times, except I can't hear anything because of ear-ringing. This happens everytime - can somebody tell what am I doing wrong, please?

Thank you all so very much, you are the only people who can understand; sorry that I don't participate here that much.....

hmmm... I'm not sure but perhaps your head gets heavy because you are only compressing the jugulars, not the carotids? It is easier to compress the jugulars I think, the carotids need a bit more pressure. Maybe you are not putting enough pressure?

Also, (I am not sure if this is true, please someone correct me someone if I am wrong!) I seem to gather from some sources that it is easier to compress the carotid on the right side of the neck, so the knot should be at the front on the left so that the right side gets the most pressure... and that this seemingly also helps prevent the blood rushing to your head and being unable to escape. That is why many successful partial hangings have the knot on the left... Again, I have no idea if this is true. Have not tested partial yet. But I guess it doesn't hurt to experiment. I hope you find the thing that works best for you

Sounds like your compression is too weak. You could try a rope instead of a bed sheet, perhaps with some padding for comfort if required.
Keep in mind that, when you compress your carotids, the blood pressure rises and more force is needed to sustain the compression.

Yeah I guess that's the problem - I'm not putting enough pressure on the neck. Unfortunately, pressing more causes me to feel uncomfortable and it seems to be blocking the airway. But it's not really a big deal. I have to keep practicing.

Thank you for your help.

Well, I think that the discomfort is an inevitable part of going partial. I mean, I still don't try it but I think I will feel the same problem. I always imagine my CTB with a rope around my neck and certainly I get sick until I pass away.

@Ready_To_Fly No thoughts on the topic at hand (I've never been able to manage compressing the correct arteries; I can't even find my pulse in my neck!) but your English is great!
