  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've been feeling so hopeless, depressed and just all around sad about my circumstances recently, and I can't ctb just yet so I'm looking for something to subdue the pain. But I'm also just curious what you all do in your free time to distract from the pain.

Work
Think about various methods of death
Not eating
Eating rubbish
Reading things on here
Avoiding people
Sliding slowly into a black abyss

And repeat

For a long time I went through a heightened emotional state, where I felt much the same way you do - sadness, emptiness, despair, anxiety, etc. For me, the only thing that worked was medication. I knew if I wanted to survive a while longer my only option was to numb the pain. Doing so allowed me to feel unfazed, which, considering where I was at, was a big improvement in my eyes. That allowed me to just sit back and laugh at life a bit more, and waste my time by way of escapism and pointless media consumption. I couldn't have done this without the psych meds though - things were too raw and painful before I got started on them.

I know meds are generally poo poo'd on here, but if you want it all to stop going around in your head and get some sleep at night, they may be worth considering.

I was diagnosed with depression, and c-PTSD a couple years ago and put on a lot of different psych meds. They definitely helped with my self harm tendancies, and nighmares and mood swings, and I can't really say anything bad about them or look down on anyone who uses them, the only issue is that I can't afford them anymore, lol. They are a priority though, and once I have the money, I will be getting back on them. Thank you for your response :)

Play games, eat biscuits and listen to music... It feels like things are coming to an end so I don't do a lot anymore

Watched all 5 seasons of the 100 on Netflix. It was captivating and intense enough to distract me from my intense emotions
