Do not worry

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

If you don't wear clothes you'll get arrested. If your clothes doesn't meet societal expectations you'll get ostracized or deprived of opportunity.
If you don't eat and drink you'll slowly die. Neglecting your body and the importance of healthy food will take a toll on your health and wellbeing (and also your ability to practice your faith).

While the heavenly Father might feed the birds, he also kill them with starvation and predators, on a regular basis. Depending on the species of bird, maintaining a nice coat can be more important than in human society.
Through refining farming over thousands of years, sowing, reaping, and storing and conserving, and worrying about harsh winters (the future), we've practically eliminated starvation in most parts of the world. Through industrial development we've enabled all but the very poorest to maintain decent clothing.

Don't drown yourself in worries, that's a good advice and I appreciate the overall sentiment. Decent clothing and a varied healthy diet doesn't have to be hard or complicated, neither does it have to be perfect. I'm not well versed in Christianity, but somewhere in that big book, I think shortsighted negligence is considered a sin(?).
Faith can be a source of strength and motivation, to get things done. Faith will never be a replacement for securing food, or other practical necessities.

Regardless of religion, plan ahead and take care of yourselves. Worry responsibly and productively.
