• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

This question can be interpreted three types of ways:

  • from how one sees life

  • being made to acknowledge privilege and power dynamics

  • becoming aware of what society truly is and how people live in this world

that is exactly what I am speaking on today in this manner.

People believe that being strong is to not be weak and to succeed in life and that YOU are a problem for your existence and your own life, ignoring the true reality and the truth behind what's truly in their small brains they can not wish to comprehend for a second that people who suffer actually have to deal with having to change constantly to find some grounds within them to succeed or they are vulnerable anyways to be deemed worthless that oftentimes, those who lost, sees the real truth and sees being alive for being vulnerability and pain in this world, while those are privileged enough to see us as flawed humans arhat needs to apply the very law of power to succeed in life to remain strong in order to live, which doesn't make any sense because people aren't made to change themselves for others and feel so pressured to if they are struggling anyways…

It puts a lot to even misinterpret the truth too.

I think to live a "good" life you need to be strong, to be able to persist through advercity. Being succesful I feel like can have multiple meanings, for some it can be being famous or rich or have a succesful career, but I don't think we should dismiss having a family and other things. I think sucess isn't everything and being a "Loser" it's ok.

You need to accept everything the good and the bad in you and just do your best the be a "Good" person, whatever that means to you.

And being strong doesn't mean not feeling sad, any other negative emotion, is to be able to keep going despite them, in that sennse depressive people or people with mental health issues are some of the strongest,, specially those who are still capable of having compassion and empathy and kindness.

I think it is easy to be "good" when everything in life is going well, it's in the hard time people show their true colors

to be alive is to simply exist and think, to be strong to me is to survive against the toughest odds, pretty simple i suppose

Strong? Absolutely, this existence is hellish and difficult to live in especially if you acknowledge the harsh reality about this world. Successful? No, talking about success is honestly just a delusion since we all have to die anyway and nothing that we do here matters and it isn't worth the cost of sentient beings suffering in this existence. In my opinion, the only real success that can be done is getting rid of all the suffering in the world, nothing else matters compared to that. Unfortunately, this is a tough idea to sell to people as the majority of human beings only give a shit about their own suffering and "what's in it for me"

I have mixed feelings really. I admire some people who do succeed in life. Especially when the odds weren't in their favour. I admire people who care for others and hold on for them. I suppose the people I admire the most have known vulnerablity and pain but have managed to still be strong and successful.

That all said, I don't think it should be stipulated we all have to abide by that. Life needs to make sense/ be worthwhile to motivate someone to put in the effort required to be strong or successful. It simply doesn't provide enough of a sense of a reward to some people. Why are they necessarily wrong about that?

Ultimately, while we might be just about able to distract ourselves along the way, most of our lives will be devoted to making rich people richer. Which might feel less painless if you can work at something you enjoy, or you earn enough to have a decent quality of life outside of work. Some people simply don't want to participate in that though. Others will be so badly disadvantaged that they'll likely not ever attain a reasonable quality of life.

I don't think it's fair to entirely blame genetics/ poor circumstances for an uncomfortable life. There are rags to riches stories. I guess maybe they still had some benefits over those who are never able to get a break. Some people do work incredibly hard to battle their odds though. I feel it unfair to call them 'lucky' seeing as so many things worked against them. Still, again- they clearly saw the reward as ultimately being worth it.

Basically though, I see plenty of viewpoints as being valid. So- some people are incredibly strong for battling through life. Impressive- especially if they had factors holding them back. I can admire them but I'd also say- they likely did have something motivating them.

I also don't however see a problem with someone feeling like there's nothing worthwhile in life for them to motivate them to fight for it. In which case- their viewpoint of: Why should I stay alive, only to suffer? Also makes sense- to me.

i believe the world is a "survival is the fittest" kind of game. you have to be strong to survive. people are selfish, nothing you can do about it. it's human nature. its mostly everybody for themselves.

and being successful is subjective. for some, success could be just being happy. for others it may be wealth.
