Hey there, I'm new to this site. Knew about it for a while. Forgot about it. Remembered it and decided to join.

Recently, I've been wondering about 1 thing: miracles. As in, events that could change mine, yours, or anyone's life. In this context, it would specifically be something so great it would alleviate your sadness, maybe even change your perspective on life.

My personal views on this are... complex. I've had differing views on it over the course of my life: when I was young, let's say 9 or 10, I was sure miracles were real. Well, not much surprise there, as I also believed in Santa at the time.. I found it sort of intriguing to believe your whole life could change so suddenly. I was amazed by stories of miracles. Still, I never really wished for any miracles. Of course, opinions rarely stay the same. (Or is that just me?) About the time of my 13th birthday was when I started getting depression; although that's a whole other topic, it was when I first really wished for a miracle. I experienced sadness before, to no surprise. It was never quite at this level, however. Since then, it's not only been getting worse, but I also found myself wishing more and more for some kind of miracle.

I saw it as a mark of hope, an unreasonably optimistic view. Eventually, I forgot about it. Days spent in sorrow and loneliness will do this to you. I hadn't paid much attention to this topic in years until a couple of weeks ago. What happened was, I got some videos recommended on YouTube that are along the lines of "If you found this video, it means your life will enter its golden era." Not that anything has happened since I clicked on them... but hey, maybe I really am, after all this time, still hoping for magic.

Miracles, as well as God, are something I used to believe in, a while ago, that is. Now I'm not so sure. I'm interested in what you think, maybe you can even relate to some of this.

Thanks for reading, sorry if I made any grammatical mistakes or if my writing style is weird.

I don't believe in them. Like anything else I don't believe, however, IF one drops in front of me and proves itself, then I am willing to re-calibrate.

I want one. I need one. I just don't believe they exist, and certainly not for me... hence my only realistic solution being to get out of dodge in a couple of months.
