Do you keep your room dark?

Yes, I crave the darkness. At the moment I am being forced into exposure to light. If I had my way I'd stay in a dark room during the day, and only go out at dusk/night. The brightness of day hurts me. The dark is comforting.

absolutely. i don't want any outside light seeping in. it's safer in the dark.

During the day, yes. Especially since ,in the summer, it's hotter than the sun where I live.

I always use a night light, though. I've got trauma from something that happened to me in the dark of the night.

Yes, I have black trash bags covering my windows. A lot of the reason I did that though is so that it is easier to sleep during the day. My sleep schedule can be a mess sometimes.

Yes. I have light sensitivity due to a mix of my autism, astigmatism and anti depressants. Too much light gives me migraines. Constant pitch black isn't good though so I'll have my lights set to a dim purple colour.

You and my late husband. I often wondered if it was because he was depressed or if it really was a simple as the light hurting his eyes -- because that was his excuse.

I am the exact opposite. I have to have every single light in the house on in order to read a book in my library -- with the door closed.

I have to have my room dark during the day so I can sleep. I work at night, so I'm stuck in a bright building all night.

If I could, my entire 24 hours would be total darkness.

yeah i mean my room doesn't even have a light switch that works so the only light is my computer or my phone XD and i mean theres the closet light but i don't really have much reason to turn it on for any longer then like 10-20mins

I used to keep it bright, but the sun was heating my room up way too much. Now I have blackout curtains that keep it nice and cool.

You know, I never really thought about it but maybe that's part of why I have all the lights on. I have the most horrid migraines -- when I'm in the middle of s bad headache, I don't want ANY light. Lol So, it's either one extreme or the other for me. Typical ... Lol

I thought I was the only one who did that (taught myself just to sleep through them)!! I am really sorry you hurt that bad.
