• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

No matter how small or big the mistake is, I don't. I make the same mistake 2 or 3 times at least.
Sometimes it's a stupid mistake and I shouldn't be mad about it but I get angry because I'm so fucking naive and stupid.

I'd say I'm alright at it, but I have to learn by myself. If someone else tries to tell me I'm doing it wrong, I probably won't listen.

The main thing I learn is how to purposefully cause mistakes to sabotage myself again. Usually when I do learn from something I take it to the worst possible extreme by obsessing over it.

I try, but often, no. If I wasn't prone to making those mistakes, I'd find it far easier to learn from them:/

Not really. I'm a mental wreck who acts on impulse even when I try not to. It's one big downward spiral and it's painful to go through it.

I slowly learnt from the bigger mistakes...but....but to really make that learning process count I need a time machine to go back to those moments.
Sadly I don't have one of those...
So I don't feel much benefit from my learning those lessons.

I know what you mean!!! I made certain mistakes that caused me irreversible changes in my life. Cost me things I could never get back.

Is the mistake then in not being able to let go of something you consider to be a mistake, but which was really inevitable and unavoidable?

I made mistakes on both sides of the spectrum. Holding on to things/people that were wrong for me and letting go of what was good; opportunities/people etc

I started to document my mistakes in order to forgive myself instead of throwing the mistakes and the consequences in my subconscious. I need to be aware of them all and let go. I try to remember everything. It's a daily task. A spiritual cleansing kinda process id say.

Yeah, I've done this too. I've come to terms with it by a realising that not only did I let go of them, but they let go of me too. In every relationship all parties share the responsibility for what happens, you cannot take it all on yourself.

I can and should take it all on myself if it was 100% my fault... which was.. in most cases...

There is subconscious stuff that goes on, believe me. It always involves all sides, no matter how it seems.

To quote a movie - its not your fault.

I think it made me more aware of it. If you possess a strong Self awareness. It hurts you so bad when you reflect on your mistakes. It's supposed to set you free once you forgive yourself but I haven't reached that stage. I'm still becoming more aware and it hurts.

Sometimes yeah but there's these kind of mistakes that I do on impulse and most of the time is what my anxiety is causing me and I just can't focus on anything else except that problem and then I lash out and I'm rude to the ppl around me:// it's really hard to control and I honestly don't really know how to control it

I do. I learn how to make them oh-so-worse the next time. Self sabotage is one of my greatest skills in life.

I learn from some but clearly not from all of them.
For instance, alcohol is bad but I still love drinking.

Anyway, I hope I've learnt from the mistakes of my failed attempt so as to finally be at peace soon.

Life and all its variables are extremely complex. I've yet to see any situation, in all my years, where anything was 100% black or white with situations like yours, mine, or anyone else's.

I guarantee if I had been a passive observer, in real time, for your troubling situations, I could find fault, no matter how subtle, that extends beyond you.

For me it has always been the alcohol, I started to drink around 2015... A failed relation and sometimes relatives who helped worsening my life.
Of course. I had to take the wrong and easy path to get out of the situation. Sometimes Ive learned. But it doesnt stay long with me.
So... Its a 50/50 if I learn from my mistakes.
I am right now trying to fix my economic situation. Hopefully with welfare and a tenant who finally will be able to pay me.
If I spend less on beer and shots, my situation would be better.

I guess it depends on the mistake, particularly when I didn't know at the time that something was bad until it was too late & the person was already hurt. What comes to mind is that manupulation tactics thread and I just wish I knew all about this much sooner and I didn't even realize it, as someone whose already conflict-averse I just feel further driven away from conflict bc I don't wish for anymore people to be hurt. Part of the reason why I signed up for this forum is because I feel like a lost cause, powerless to try to fix anything

I've made mistakes and my body is doing a payback.

It's a case of act in haste repent at leisure.

In a good sense the only harm that came from my mistakes was to myself and not a third party.

I take accountability for my past mistakes and for every mistake i either do something to myself that i don't want to do but i do it anyway, or i stop doing what i love basically punishing myself which isn't good i know :/
