• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

No, but I would if I could. It's mostly a money thing, but also because my family would ask questions. One thing I miss about living on my own was being able to just take off for a road trip on a whim. I drove four hours down country roads to Indianapolis one summer day. Listened to Eric Clapton on repeat and just gawked at all the rural little towns I saw, managed the miracle of finding hills in Illinois, accidentally drove by a national park I'd never heard of, and was refused a sale of beer because it was Sunday. I had finally tracked down a beer brand & style I had been searching for for months only to be turned down. Bastards!

I spend a lot of time at the library and therapists' offices but nothing else outside of that. Well class too.

Studying at the library? For the internet or the books?

Yeah studying, working on homework and whatnot but sometimes I just mess around on the internet or read. They have a surprisingly bad collection of fictional classics though.

I had the same experience in my university. Our library was mostly nonfiction, much of it scholarly. I remember digging through old engineering society journals from the 60s and 70s for a professor once. Not the most riveting experience, I gotta say.

Besides me going to the doctor's or the hospital, I rarely ever leave the house. Most of the time I just don't feel well enough to do so.

My schedule revolves around appointments. I try to aim for 1-2 a day. On the days I don't have one I usually don't leave my apartment. If I even bother leaving bed.

Yeah it's mostly old journals here too. There's some cool books on paleontology and psychology though. We also have a surprisingly large collection of books on the occult, well larger than I expected. But unless I really want to read Shakespeare, our fiction department is lacking heavily. Managed to pick up Lolita and Moby Dick but there were only like 7 other novels to select from, of which I have already read. I should complain lol.

A friend of mine does a work study at her university library (my alma mater). I'll have to ask her sometime if she knows how they get stocked. I think it may have something to do with professors' research specialties, but that's just a hunch.

No reason to, everything costs and I'm alone. I don't make appointments anymore cause it's pressure I don't want to leave my house.

Huh, guess I'll have to get a PhD in classical fiction literature then so I can demand a better selection. Brb.
I think our library probably spends most of its money on e-journals nowadays. We do have a lot of electronic versions of fictional books. Well, maybe like 20 lol. But I prefer the physical copies. If it's electronic I just can't focus properly on it.

Hi, I'm mostly a lurker on this site but wanted to reply to your post for two reasons:
1. To say you aren't alone -- I pretty much never leave home anymore either, except for very rarely if I need to go to the ER or for a scheduled doctor appointment, although in the last year I cancel almost all my appointments except the one/s I know I must go to or run out of meds.

2. I just had to reply also because of your avatar. I've been a devoted and hardcore fan of Prince for over 35 years and it's always nice to run into another Prince fan so I wanted to say hello.

That's me, too. I feel sick pretty much every day. I'm sorry you feel so badly also. I know what that's like and it's terrible dealing with both physical illness and/or pain, and with the pain and struggles of mental illness (I don't know if you have both issues to contend with but I do).

I follow my crush around, have actually hidden a smartphone under her car so I can trace her. I feel a sad nostalgia when I observe her interesting life, and compare it to mine.

This may sound very strange, but then again if you are here, it is strange to begin with.

Lol I'll admit to following my crush around in any way I can. Wouldn't be daring to hide a phone under any of her cars to see where she is though lol. IMO super creepy for me to do and were already good friends so she'd freak if she found out about this, let alone what I do now lol.

Not trying to put you down for doing this but I think we can all agree itd be weird lol. I think we can also all agree though we've all been stalkers in our lives one day :pfff::pfff:

I go to work 3-4 times a week, and on my days off I spend them mostly in my bedroom. I'm trying to go to more social events but apart from them and work I prefer to hide.

Before I was homeless living out of a car I would barely leave the house. Only times I ever left was when I was hypomanic or in a relationship:

Once or twice a week to stock up on food, which mostly consists of instant noodles because I don't enough money to buy anything of nutritional value. Also to pay the bills and withdraw money (or what's left of it). That's on a good day when my anxiety doesn't take over and I can actually leave the house without having an attack. I used to walk around at night when I know I'd be in the cover of darkness and there's barely any people around since I live in a small town where everything is closed by 8-9PM except for 7-Eleven or MiniStop or that new restobar. I think I'm playing a guessing game with my neighbours. I know they gossip if I'm actually staying at the house. It looks abandoned. Everything is rundown. I could barely keep up with the maintenance. I'll be homeless soon if they found out the state of things. Pretty soon I'd have nothing. Hopefully, I'd get enough courage to ctb.

Other than fulfilling my obligations in school, not so much.

I do however have plans of trying new hobbies that involve going out(and doing them on the regular if I happen to like them)once I finish College and successfully lose weight(the latter I'm planning to do just after I finish college. trying to do it now would be way too stressful to juggle with my school responsibilities)

Of course, this is an ideal/best-case scenario. That may not end up being the case, and well, that's one of my major reasons for being here.
