So, I've had one specialist say I have diabetes, despite having normal blood sugar. I had to change specialist for practical/geographic reasons. The new guy says I might have Diabetes Insipidus (not actually diabetes at all) and wants me to do a water deprivation test. Basically, 12 hours without water or food (bloods and pee samples taken). I'd be home late at night and would have to re hydrate/pee all night and probably have an impacted bowel the next morning (I suffer from bowel issues).
My brother and sister want me to do it because its... doing something instead of nothing. I don't think I have Diabetes Insipidus and it will be a dangerous test and a lot of suffering for nothing. Basically, this is a serious trigger, my danger will actually start the day or so before! If I have the courage to go through with the test I will be a parched mess, then be checked out in an even worse way and even more likely to try to ctb.
Mind-you, its so risky, I could end up in a coma if I re hydrate too fast, but NOT the way I want to go. This is what I get for not giving up and trying to help myself!
