If your blood doesn't have the a ility to carry oxygen wouldn't that make you gasp for air to try and take oxygen in? In other words how is the experience different than holding your breath or crushing your windpipe by strangulation? Do you really just get dizzy and fall asleep without having the survival instinct kick in from lack of oxygen?
