• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

it's fucking funny how, when someone wants to kill themselves, society treats it like a fucking crisis. they're stopped, locked up in a mental hospital, and treated as if they're absolutely crazy. but when people slowly kill themselves through smoking, shit diet, or heavy drinking, it's often left to personal choice. interventions do happen with alcoholics, sure, but even then, it's not a guarantee, and society still tends to view these behaviors as personal struggles rather than systemic issues. normalizing habits that is actually killing you, but slowly

with suicide, society jumps in immediately -- call the cops, send them to a hospital, slap a mental illness label on them. it's called 'saving their life,' but it's done in the most dehumanizing way. their autonomy/choice? fucking gone. they're treated like they don't even own their own life.

but if someone smokes for years and gets lung cancer? they get sympathy, not judgment. overeat, drink soda nonstop, and end up with diabetes or a heart attack? no one locks them up. alcohol is celebrated, even though it ruins lives. society shrugs because those choices take years to kill you.
none of these choices leads you to a mental hospital or a forced, involuntary reeducation

it's all about what's visible. suicide is quick and final, so society panics and tries to 'fix' it, even if it means ignoring the person's reasons. but slow, drawn-out self-destruction? that's easier to ignore. the damage isn't obvious until it's too fucking late, and by then, it's called a 'tragedy' instead of a 'choice.'

suicide is seen as losing control -- a decision made in the moment. that's why it's labeled irrational or crazy. but smoking, drinking, or eating like shit? those are seen as choices, even when addiction, pain, or a profit-driven system is behind them.

then there's the judgment. society acts like life has to be preserved no matter what, so suicide feels like a challenge to that ignorant belief. slow self-destruction gets a pass because it doesn't shock anyone.

society is more comfortable with slow, gradual decline than quick, decisive outcomes. it's okay to deteriorate if it takes decades, but do it fast, and suddenly, you're the fucking problem. it's not about fairness -- it's about what society can handle. which again, prioritizes what society thinks, not what YOU think.

both suicide and slow self-destruction can come from the same place -- pain, struggle, and being trapped in a world that doesn't give a fuck about you. but how society reacts shows just how fucked up its priorities really are.

fuck this god damn society and every single fucking person who contribute to this way of thinking
