  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm not thinking this as a method, however I've wondered for a while if you could drown yourself if you had enough will power? Go under water and breath in trying to get as much water into your lungs.

I understand it sounds stupid, however it's more as discussion and curiosity than an actual method.

I posted my own plan and experience in this thread:

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/drowning-my-method.17545/

Of specific note check the section regarding the negative aspects, and within that the Wikibooks link. Also, I linked to other users' experiences.

I was very determined and could not overcome the very strong SI associated with this method.

In my own experience with drowning you need to be completely immersed in water for this to be a practical method at all otherwise your si is going to win.

I assume drowning is possible with enough will power, but then lots of bizarre CTB methods are possible if you are literally willing to do anything: cut your head off with a chainsaw, ball point pen to the heart or brain, set yourself on fire....
