Reasonable adjustments in providing services. The Equality Act 2010 prescribes specific duties for service providers in respect of disabled people when it is clear that a rule or practice disadvantages them. A service provider has a duty to make reasonable adjustments where a provision, criterion or practice, or any physical feature of premises occupied by a disabled person, places that person at a substantial disadvantage compared with people who are not disabled.
