• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Honestly no clue how to title this question, it's just something that occurred to me to ask all of a sudden.

I've been reading through a lot of goodbye threads in an attempt to better understand my chosen method. As is the nature of this forum, users will come and go - and when they go, they don't come back. Reading through those threads, though, I see different users who aren't present now quite a lot.

So, my question is more for the people who have been using this forum for a long time: do you relate different time periods to certain users on here?

As a follow up question: how does losing the more active users impact you? In my time here I've seen 2 relatively popular/active/well-known users disappear (whether due to CTB or otherwise, I can't say, but chances are...), and I'm surprised at how sad it made me feel to lose their presence.

Yes.

It's always sad to see someone you like stop posting. Most of the people I've enjoyed over the years have left for reasons other than ctb.
