Just going to put it like this, why did you all pick the profile picture you chose? Tell me?

I chose mine because it was at the top of my downloaded pictures and when I clicked on it I loved the look of it, it was relatable and suited the site. That's my explanation.

It's a photo from a performance piece by the Viennese Actionist artist Rudolph Schwarzkogler. That's how I feel, that's what being human feels like to me. Numb and half-dead and alone and in a state of total despair and collapse and dehumanised and faceless and identityless. Just a huddled form eking out survival in the barrenness of time.

Mine is El Indio who is the villain character in one of my fav films called For A Few Dollars More. There are parts in the film where he has this "ringing" in his ears and he smokes marijuana to dull the "pain" and so that resonated with me and my "numbing agents" (weed, junk food etc)

It's from the movie the Big Blue at the end where the guy has to choose to either cling to life or let go.

Earlier in the movie he tells this story about how to meet a mermaid setting up the ending:

It's Mathilda from movie leon the professional. I'm trying to not spoil the movie yet still explaining the profile picture. Mathilda is neglected and had to grow up way too early which shows in her behaviour. Driven by rage, revenge and the hope that the latter will finally give her peace. She yearns for love which is symbolised in the moment from my profile picture in which she "transforms" her style into the one of Leon which is a thing in many relationships wether in an purely emotional or spiritual level, way of thinking or like in this case the choice of clothing / style - a way that merges two seperate people into one. There're many things in there that resonate with me, so yeah.. that's basically why I picked this as my profile picture

My profile picture and the general profile aesthetic is of the Stranger Basil from Omori. Basil is one of the most characters I relate to due to his fear of abandonment and intense feelings of guilt which I suffer with too. Chosen the Stranger version of him specifically just cus of him being more disturbing looking.

I am thinking of changing it to Ashley Graves from The Coffin of Andy and Leyley tho as of my most recent big autistic hyper-fixation. She also suffers an intense fear of abandonment and want to go back to being a child which I feel too.

It's guts from Berserk.Very similar to my own life. Well. I mean, I have to fight my demons too. Guts can barely sleep. His character is plagued by demons all the time. Even when he's sleeping.

That's what each day feels like to me. I don't sleep 8 hours a day or even 6 hours a day. Maybe four to five hours if I'm lucky.But I keep getting up in between those hours and falling asleep again.

Bit silly, I know. But it was quite inspirational to me.

I adore Daenerys Targaryen and Britney Spears. When I joined Sasu, I was Dany for a while, when I had some strength left and was a warrior. Time and my situation deteriorated me, and I changed my entire profile to Britney Spears because I identify with them. I adore them both, but now I'm Britney since she went through a lot of hardship at my age, and it's more realistic.
I'm a mix of both. But all I have left of Daenerys is strength
