• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I think I might be falling out of love with my girlfriend. I can't tell if it's depression taking the joy away or my actual feelings. I just don't really like the relationship right now, it's long distance and we're both unstable, I don't want a relationship where both me and my partner are unstable. I've thought about breaking up but I don't know how either of us would feel. I don't know what I should do. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

For more context we've been together for 5 years so maybe it's just the fact that we're not in the honey moon phase although more things seem good and exciting about our relationship right now.

I don't think I can love anyone right now

Break-ups feel bad no matter how amicable or justified they might be. However, a 5 year relationship is understandably nothing to throw away lightly. Are you no longer finding comfort in the relationship? Perhaps, trying to delicately open up the idea you are feeling negatively or unfulfilled about the relationship with your partner might help, or at least extend the chance to help or explain on both sides, even if you still decide breaking up is the best option.

Never forget that depressive episodes come and go. They have a beginning and an end. Wait it out.
If you feel the same when even when things are ""normal"", then it's time to have a discussion with your girlfriend, definitely.
