• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Fantasy but sci-fi is a close second. What about you?

Sci-Fi. While it's very vast, it often shows a world where society is generally better. Diseases are cured, there's devices that can do so many cool things to make life more convenient or a better escape, and lots of societal issues are fixed because we as a species have gone past such "silly" things. Think of Sci-Fi like Star Trek where there's many Utopian qualities to it. Food, resources, wars (within humanity anyway) are mostly gone, etc. They can just focus on things like exploration. Of course though there's also the opposite where things become dystopian instead such as in the case of the whole Cyberpunk genre or shows like Black Mirror.

I like the idea of fantasy more but I feel like sci-fi is easier to execute a good story for since one can go so much further with it.

Fantasy. I like it more because there are no limits. At most, imagination is the limit.
I like the space theme the most. For example: Mass Effect.
In general, fantasy in space offers unimaginable possibilities.

I really like both of them but maybe sci-fi just a little more because the typical anime type fantasy is a bit stale for me, only because I'm surrounded by it constantly.
