Fentanyl is lethal in doses so small you have to squint at it to see. If you are confident that is what you have then this will be a very quick way to go. Alcohol is just a cherry on the top.

If I was you I would be testing to make sure it is fentanyl to avoid surprises.

Other commentors have said that you need such a small amount, but keep in mind if you're buying it off the street it will be cut with a bunch of other shit, so volume isn't a good measure. Especially considering the variance of strength from batch to batch.

Pure pharmaceutical fentanyl is a white powder. On the street (at least in my experience working in emergency services), it's usually brown and comes in a "rock" or chunk.

The issue is nobody really knows how much you would need unless you know the actual content or fentanyl and not just the total weight including fillers.

My guess would probably be to buy a few doses, and then take it all at once. Combining with other methods is something people talk about too. You could inject yourself while you have a rope around you neck and then when you OD hanging would be a safety net. If all goes well, no pain but you get the combined security of two methods.

How else would I take it without injection? I think that if I threw a bottle of whiskey into the mix, that would definitely end me, but before? After? I saw a video on here of a Russian teenager mixing methadone with vodka and downing it, but methadone is made to be drank. I don't think dissolving fent in whiskey is gonna be the same.

Injection is the best way, if you take it orally only some is absorbed and it takes longer. Injection skips the inefficiency and time requirement of the digestive system.

Alcohol potentiates opioids. If you mixed it with vodka it could potentially be beneficial, but make sure it dissolves fully. Sometimes drugs do not dissolve easily, this is why in movies they show drug users holding a spoon with drugs in it over a candle/lighter. Heat helps dissolve. People will also add vitamin C powder or lemon/lime juice as acidity can help to dissolve it. What might be best is to take a little bit of vodka, put it in a small bowl or cup, add the drugs (crushed into powder), add vitamin C or lemon juice if you encounter difficulty, and then add it to the rest of the vodka so it is mixed with the total volume. More surface area = better absorption. But still, IV would be recommended. If supplies are an issue, depending where you live there might be a no-questions-asked needle exchange program. Many large (especially progressive) cities have them to help prevent STD/bloodborne disease transmission through shared/used needles. Programs in my city that do this also give out vitamin C, sterile water ampules, and all you need to do drugs. Something to consider if you take that route.

God dammit, this is all so complicated and unpleasant. I really don't want to mess around with needles, given that I have no experience with that. What sort of horrible fate am I looking at if this doesn't work?

No, and that's exactly the problem with this method. The reaction of individuals varies so much, not just due to tolerance but due to differences from their effects as well. So it's hard to come up with an exact formula. Most ODs happen by accident because they got a different more potent product than expected. Both alcohol and opioids also cause nausea and vomiting so you might nod off and vomit in your sleep while turned on the side. You then wake up sick, but not dead. Many opioid ODs are also caused not by too much opioid but due to combining with stimulants, called speedballing. It's how River Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman died, but it's not very pleasant.
