Gas heater, carbon monoxide poisoning

Ok,so I do have a gas heater, when we use it my mom makes us open the window a bit. Anyways I was planning on ordering stuff for SN. But I might attempt with this gas heater. Unfortunately the lock in my bedroom doesn't work, so there's a chance someone might notice and open the door. Gas heaters cause many accidental deaths in the winter here every year

I'm excited about this because it'll seem accidental but I don't want to be impulsive. Does it sound like a good idea? Also how long will it take to cause death?

It's a kerona gas heater.

A couple wooden wedges pushed in between the edge of the door and the doorframe/threshold might address the lack of lock, but it could make it far less likely to appear to be an accident.

Yeah i need to be sure of some things first but if I do try it out I'll do it at a very late hour when everyone is asleep

What gas heater do you have? This was a way I was considering too but be good to hear what some other people think too....

I was thinking this too...when I researched...a lot of them have automatic shut offs when oxygen levels get too low. Don't know if there is a way to get an older version of them or if the sensor can be disabled...the ones I saw were propane too...if you find any gas heaters...let me know!

Carbon monoxide is dangerous for everyone who is inside home and even carbon monoxide can go through walls. I really do not recommand.
