  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

How much do you think this helps to recover? Like in terms of importance how will you rank it in terms of health and wellbeing?
Do you think it can help restore some physical beauty and health that has been lost through neglect?
I'm making this thread so I have something to aim for and when I see it it will remind me to keep at it.

Much like food and water, without sleep you die.

When you sleep your brain flushes itself of toxins. It literally cleans itself out. It also organises and logs info picked up throughout the day making it ready for recall in appropriate circumstances. Clarity of mind is surely very high on the scale of importance when facing mental health issues. As such I'd argue sleep is equally important.

Fixing your sleep schedule is definitely a top priority. If you even miss one night or mess up your rhythm your body kicks itself into a hot mess because it thinks you're trying to avoid danger. It can lead to increased heart-rate and anxiety / stress, so it creates a sort of loop where you can't go to bed on time anymore.

I'm not sure if there's another way to do it, but generally I just stay awake an entire day if I miss it, and then sleep right on time. The sleep is very satisfying too.

alongside other basics such as shelter, hydration, and nutrition, good sleep is the foundation of physical and mental health - abraham maslow had the gist right although the nitty gritty toward the tip of his pyramid theory is a bit off re self actualisation

Yeah I'm talking about the schedule not the sleep itself.... And you are right. I didn't realize this it might explain so much.
