I already got through my first 24 hours. I've been drinking regularly since 18, and I'm 20 now. I usually ask my sister to fetch them for me and give her the money. I take anywhere from 5-6 1oz shots of 80 proof every other day as that is what gets me moderately to heavily drunk without nausea or a hangover (I weigh a bit less). Depending on if I had anything to eat, I still very well vomit and wake up with headaches.
I never "wanted" to quit until I watched the Huberman Lab Podcast on the effects of alcohol on the brain, body, and health. At the end of the week, I'll see if abstaining was worth it, or if the pleasure derived from drinking is too good.
I'm treating my leftover alcohol as isopropyl and using it to clean stuff. I know it's bad to constantly be reminded of something you're trying to quit, so I'm hoping to find a use that doesn't involve consuming it.
This is not me never drinking again; just an experiment. If the results are good, maybe I'll quit nicotine too.
This is also TMI, but:

I also deleted around 300gb of porn I had saved in my external hard drive. Even if I do relapse (I'm trying to quit watching porn), the amount of data saved is still incredible.
