Story Goodbye letters?

Hi everyone,

I have just purchased some nice writing paper to start making my apology letters to the people who will actually be bothered about me going.

I think I'm going to go to a hotel when the time comes, seems a better option.
I'm terribly emotional today, if I had things in place I'd be gone.

Sorry for rambling, I'm just so down, I feel so unloved.

May I ask what you are writing in your letters? I'm in the process of writing mine and feel so stuck. I want to soothe the pain I'm leaving behind and I want my last words to be perfect but maybe it's not possible.

Granted you can do whatever you want.

But you mentioned that you were emotional today, and you have nice stationary. Maybe just write down things on regular paper, edit it, and once you get exactly what you want after edits (maybe over days) then put it on the nice paper.

I just know I'd do that, but just wanting to toss that out there.

I agree with @Carina & @Jean4 about the multiple drafts first. If you're anything like me you're going to be writing several drafts. I can't even tell you how many I had to write.
Of course, due to my energy issues, I had to do it over a space of several weeks. I would write for a while and then stop and think about what I wrote and then go back and rewrite, etc.

As for what I wrote, I made sure that people understood that I was not intentionally trying to hurt anybody, I tried to make sure people understood that there was nothing they could've done to stop me or help me, and then I just tried to lay out as best as I could why I thought ending my life was the most logical solution to my problems. I also made clear that this was not a spur of the moment decision for me and that I have been thinking about it and planning it out for years.
I divided my letter up into issues or reasons why I felt this was the best solution and then I just tried to explain why. I don't know that this format would make sense anyone else, but it seemed to help me to better organize my thoughts to have things divided up into various issues or reasons.

I love pretty stationary. I have some cute stickers and coloured pens to decorate with, cute paper is also a nice idea. I want to have maximum effort put into my letters as I imagine they will become a keepsake for my family.

I agree. I would've loved to have done this, but my handwriting is atrocious. LOL. I just printed mine out on a computer. But if you have lovely hand writing & like being creative, I imagine it could become a keepsake. And a very nice thought.
