I know I am probably not going to be able to get an antiemtic. I have a shot this upcoming Friday to see my gastroenterologist. I have SIBO and he ordered a gut scan to be taken after I poop to see how well my stomach emptying and intestines move....

I have been doing research on my condition for years.... Since I was diagnosed in 2015. I have done a lot of research on the gut, the digestive system, the links between brain and gut..etc.

So I know I have delayed stomach emptying. If I eat a ton the day before my scan, I just might be able to score I Reglan prescription....... Because it is a drug used to speed up the time it takes for the stomach to empty food into the small intestine. Now if that plan does not work. I decided to do a little research with the drugs that i DO have.

I realized that antihistamine drugs lower stomach acid. It is a side effect. I figured if they decrese stomack acid maybe they have some antiemetic properties as well. So i dedcided to google "Hydroxyzine and Antiemetic" look at what I found:

It has an "off label use as an anti emetic!" >>>
Nausea & Vomiting (Off-label)
25-100 mg IM

This drug lowers stomach acid AND acts as a antiemetic. Looks like I might be able to kill 2 birds with one stone. (pun)lol

Anyway...... This is still a prescription drug, but it might be easier to get complaning of itching OR anxiety. It is prescribed for both. If you are interested in the SN way to go and use Hydroxyzine, maybe you want to research this further. I have to say that this is the most excited I have felt in w while.

It's extremely easy to get! Even with typical "drug seeking behavior" that bars people from getting medications prescribed if you ask for it by name because it's not a benzodiazepine. I'm from the United States and it's not something that some doctors may not know of by name, but they'll give it to you if you ask like you said about either itchiness or anxiety. You could say that you're looking for a way to calm anxiety except you've heard stories that worry you about benzodiazepines.

And it's actually three or four birds with one stone because it will also calm you down as well as help with pain. They don't make me have any side effects even if I were to probably even take an entire bottle because when I was using hard substances I would take like 10.
If you do struggle to get it though, Benadryl is essentially the same thing from what I understand although I'm not sure why that hasn't been recommended before. I'm not sure if the recommended ones are stronger or more effective.
