• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Have you ever met someone in life who is genuinely in a happy cheery mood almost all the damn time?

I met a few people like this. Just so happy and bubbly and full of life ....

And I look at myself,

WTF...

Are we even of the same species?
Do we live on the same planet?

I mean, how do you guys feel about it?

People are hypocrites (Actors)
Those are the same people who go home - lock themselves in their bedroom - lie down in the fetal position - and cry themselves to sleep every night.

There are people who fake it, I get it. But trust me, the few I mentioned, are genuinely happy 80% of the time. The true happiness anyone can identify.

Not many tho, i can only really think of 2 people in my life

Yeah, I know the type. I've met people that just seem to have a buzz of positivity around them. These people seem to end up succeeding at life.

I think sometimes on SS we convince ourselves everyone is secretly miserable. It's not true. It's doesn't mean everyone is happy all the time. But many people enjoy their lives even though they go through tough times.
Being miserable all the time is, in fact, not the fate of all people.

I have. I know a few people like that. I think most people who appear cheery are faking it, but then there are a few who are always genuinely happy. I'm not sure how they do it, but I'm happy for them.

I think when you spend so much time depressed to the point that it's a lifestyle it becomes very hard to believe that others could be anything but the same. Maybe we need to believe it. Maybe it's a defence mechanism to keep some shred of balance in our world. Some shred of sense in the world outside our prison.

If there are people who are chronically depressed... there are bound to be people who are chronically happy (who are wondering how could there possibly be people on this planet that are so miserable most of the time )

They could be not miserable all the time but an important part of the time.

I used to know people who was like it. One day, they opened their eyes. Faking your emotions or pretending you like all your life is not a long term solution: in a certain moment, you decay, life was more weight than you can hold. Everybody now is fallen, and I'm sure all them will be in a future, sadly.

And yeah ignorance can play an important role, you can be very fucked, now if you think you are lucky, you have one of the best lifes possible, etc., you won't notice your misery and you will continuing showing a happiness that not always you truly feel.

Well, they say that ignorance gives happiness ...
It is always more comfortable and selfish to look the other way and not to want to see reality
I prefer to keep my eyes open even if that makes me bitter, than to live in ignorance of false happiness

Or take benzos with alcohol and beat up their spouse and children.

it's almost like people on this forum don't believe others can lead genuinely fulfilling, constructive, positive lives

We in the suicidal community have never and will never tolerate or accept such nonsensical thinking or living. : )

Yeah, but I automatically dislike them as they seem very dishonest, fake and overall unpleasant.
If you're happy in this world you must be either extremely ignorant or mentally challenged.
